About Us
Although our members come from all walks of life we have all joined the committee because we each have a passion for the Williamson community. Our Chairman (Carl Zarcone) said it best in the final group message of the 2021 festival “…It’s been a pleasure working with all of you. I feel like we are a family…” so go ahead, Scroll down, and learn a little about the Apple Blossom committee “family” members:

I have been living in Williamson, working at Breens for the last 20 years. I was also president of United Way Wayne County. now I am retired. I love being on the Apple Blossom now as president. I love seeing everyone in the Town enjoying themselves from young kids to adults. I love giving my time to the people of Williamson. I love this town

I joined the committee to help better the community I grew up in. Apple Blossom to me is the first big event of the summer and has always been a time that brought our community together. Over these past few years, I have seen what amazing things can be done for this community by just a few people.

I joined the Apple Blossom Committee to help better connect my generation with a festival that has been going on longer then we have been alive.

I joined the committee because my best friend was on the committee. I have stayed because I like being a part of the small group of people who brings this festival to the community year after year.

As a young girl I remember all the good times I had at the festival, and I joined the apple blossom committee because I wanted to help create those memories for many generations to come.

I joined the Apple Blossom Committee to give back to my community and to help revitalize what seems to be a dwindling volunteer base.

I’ve been going to the Apple Blossom Festival since I was 12 years old, and have always taken pride in my small town roots. When the Committee wanted new members to join, I jumped on the opportunity, and haven’t looked back!

My husband and I started the Car Show for the Apple Blossom Committee and when I realized there were so few people trying to do so much, I decided I would jump in and try to help. It has been a very rewarding decision.

My husband and I own the Williamson Grange. the centennial anniversary year of the building, I went to the town to see about throwing a celebration, and they recommended joining the Apple Blossom committee. I have seen what a difference this committee has made in our community and I am proud to be a part of it.

I decided to join the Apple Blossom Committee so I could help to carry on a tradition that has been a staple of our town for many years. My husband and I were born and raised in Williamson, I am an employee our wonderful school district, and now we are raising our own family in Williamson. Our roots are well established here and to be able to give our children similar small town experiences as we had growing up, is so important to us. Without a hard working Apple Blossom Committee, there would be no memories for future generations of our festival that brings our community together once a year to celebrate its foundation. I have fond memories of all the coronations, races, games, dances and more. I have also heard great stories from past generations about our festival and I am honored to help carry on those traditions and even help to create new traditions and lasting memories for years to come.
